I have changed the AE802 ecu in my MY00 to a AE801.
The car does seem much better and my MPG has gone up alot as well.
However, when cold I'm still getting a surging under light acceleration.
What could be the problem???
Thanks
Steve

Ooooh, just had a thought (ouch)
The fuel pressure when cold is about 0.3 bar different from when hot. I measured it but can't remember which way it was. It was enough to knock out my settings anyway and I now record fuel pressure as a hot or cold setting.
Someone needs to fit an adjustable FPR and try tweeking it a bit either way I suggest.
Or perhaps you can change the cold enrichment value John ???

Maybe it's my FSE regulator that causes the pressure difference from hot to cold ?
Is it worth trying the car from cold with the Lamda sensor disconnected from the ECU ? Unlike when a lamda sensor is on the way out and giving wrong value, the ECU will recognise the failure and stay open loop fueling, referencing map values i assume.
This may prove if it is a closed loop fuel problem (which I suspect it is)
