Competition clutch stage 1 - classic STI
Hi,
recently accelerating at motorway speeds my clutch stared to slip and so I am going to be replacing it .
the car is a Version 4 Wrx Sti,
ECU, Exhaust and Air filter = it makes 297Bhp on the dyno, only a month ago.
reading all of the websites that sell clutches for our cars I notice everyone says OEM clutches can't handle anything over standard power.
SO, I have been looking at exedy pink clutches and the Competition stage 1 clutch.
I am leaning towards the CC stage 1 as reading on here about the pink exedy's makes me think twice about them.
I am thinking to go for the flywheel also at the same time rather than skim the standard one..
£538 from scoobyworx is the best I have fund price wise for stage 1 clutch and flywheel from CC.
am I being sold a clutch I don't need by thinking OEM cannot handle my 25 hp increase over standard ?? or am I better off going for a slight upgrade in the stage 1 clutch.
Any discussion or advise welcome as I don't really know what to do lol. and have no experience of CC or Exedy clutches or subarworx lol.
will be fitted by clive atthowe tuning so a subaru specialist so no worries about fitting.
thanks
