Default Changing clutch - is oil replaced too?

Im about to change the oil in my gearbox to redline shockproof lightweight, but i know the clutch is riding high (not slipping) - so im guessing its near.

Does the oil have to come out to change the clutch? Am I safe to change the oil and not have to change it again come clutch replacement?

Thanks

I recently changed the clutch on my 2002 WRX (5 speed) and even after draining the gearbox oil, I somehow lost about 1/3 of a litre when I removed prop.
