You've opened a can of worms with that one Gearbox code- TY754VN5AA
Front diff ratio- 3.9:1
Rear diff ratio- 3.54:1
Just make sure you check the speedo drive and your shafts fit the new box ie male vs female.

I have been told that most 5 speed boxes fit each other just need to change rear diff to be save , and also like you've said check drive shafts are all the same , and will the speedo drive be difrent then ? , so confusing just need a bit of help , loosing the love for the car already .

It's not the diff you need to change it's make sure your front diff matches the rear if you ring alyn at AS performance he will explain as he has male shafts too suit. You need to check there is a hole for the speedo drive.

All the TY754VN boxes use a 3.9 final drive with 1:1.1 drop gears giving a 3.54 rear diff.
The box you have is the later and probably best of the pre hawk 5 speeds so it would be better to try and get one of those but if you cant a TY754VN1AA, 2AA or 4AA would also be a direct fit. I am not sure if there is a 3AA but as long as its a TY754VN*AA then it is a direct replacement.

The car is running around 270 and I had only had the car for 3 days before the box went so possible it was used for launches etc , also has a tow bar fitted so that wouldn't have helped , and yeah it was whining a though it was a wheel bearing and the fact it had 4 cheap tyres on it but was proven wrong
