205/50/16 are correct size for classic and newage are not 40 profile iirc
I run newage wheels on my classic and speed also shows more than I'm doing

A lower profile tyre will make a difference to the speedo: there is a calculator Over in the wheels&tyres section which will show the difference, like I said tho,you have a classic so gong from 16's to 17's will make the speedo out.

Going From a 205/50/16(Standard classic) to 215/40/17 there is only 1% difference
Going from 215/45/17(standard size newage) to 215/40/17 there is a 4% difference.
