Calling all Gearbox Gurus
Hi there, I'm looking for a bit of advice on whether a TY757VBBAB gearbox will replace a TY757BAAB please? The difference in the model no seems to relate to the BBAB having a dual cone synchro on first whereas the BAAB doesn't. Everything else seems right with gear ratios and mounting points etc.
Does anyone know if I can just slot it in, or will I need a new gear selector too, or is the whole thing just a bad idea please?
It's for a 03 Legacy GT twinsrcoll (BP5 EJ20Y).

if you have checked the difference and the only diff is the syncro then i would say it will go straight in.
just checked they are the same. direct replacement buddy and a better 1st gear syncro, bonus....

Should not be a problem.
