I have just fitted a boost gauge to my car, teed it to pipe ot mainfold (STI3) whilst it reads fine the needle pulsates badly ,fluttering ( my old WRX had a Lamco gauge and it was really smooth ) and making a pulsing noise when it hits full boost.

i have read some where it can be because the tube needs clAMPING

Any suggestions/ experiences ideas for a cure ?

It is leaking.... i just fixed mine the other day.... put some jubilee clips in each join of the pipe especially where it fits to the boost gauge.... what i forgot to do was tighten up the brass fitting on the back of the boost gauge with a spanner i only did it finger tight... car didnt run right with it leaking either...
