Default WRX Front CV drive shaft question/advice

Hello - I have a 2003 WRX where the front passenger side control arm has failed. I am replacing the control arm but an additional problem is that the drive shaft CV joint nearest the gearbox has come apart.

I have the drive shaft disconnected from the gearbox (but not from the wheel end yet). Looking at the larger end nearest the gearbox with the rubber boot removed - the three bearing assembly has come out of the green drive coupling that splines onto the gearbox shaft. There is a fairly mangled 'O' ring that has come loose.

I'm wondering if it's best to try and repair this or source a second hand one. As I've never had this issue before, advice would be welcome :-)

Thanks !
