Different front drive shaft ends?? 05 to 04 box swap
Hi there,
Ive got a 2005 wrx prodrive edition and the gearbox is dead.
Bought a 2004 gearbox wrx but as I was fitting noticed the driveshafts are different. On my box they go into the box, where as on the new box they are external splines and a roll pin?
Can I just buy shafts that don't go into the box and fit them or is the shaft different length?
Thanks morgan

There is no roll pin on ty755 axles the stub is integral as op has found out. Yes, just buy correct axles for different style box, easiest solution.
To remove front stubs on 752,754 you have to strip gearbox down as they are held in place with circlips.
