Default Clutch plate or whole kit

Looking a little advice.
My bugeye wrx now has 97k miles and is on its second clutch which is slipping when accelerating in higher gears.
Running circa 310 bhp and a bootful of torque via a vf24 turbo, pinks etc.
When I got the new clutch fitted (standard hp at the time), it was just the exedy plate itself and reused the clutch cover.
My question is this, because the cover has been on since new, should I be looking to replace with a whole new kit?

Also, does the clutch cover eventually lose its clamping pressure?

Default

your at the upper useful limit of a 5spd clutch (depending on your driving style) AND yes the covers lose their clamping force

personally would only ever fit a 'kit' and you probably better off wit the likes of a 'pink box'
