Default Possible diff noise when decelerating

Had a clutch and light weight fly fitted this week the mechanic did not fully tighten the prop bearing bolts and I got a loud clunk on shifting he apologised and tightened up the bolts but now I have an awful grinding when slowing down (coasting)at about 3500rpm to 2000rpm clutch engaged peddle up it is a loud grinding sound and vibrating the guy who messed up is looking at it on Tuesday but I think the damage is done any ideas I'm thinking it's broken the centre diff as the prop was out of line for 10 miles and was banging on every shift
