HI
I have a '97 Legacy outback 2.5 auto. For the first fifteen miles or so it kind of lunges into second gear. No problem with the other gears or after fifteen miles or so. I bought it used about three years ago at which time it was checked over by a trans shop and got fresh fluid. That fluid is still pink. I know that some cars shift hard when cold but this is annoying. The orig trans did it too. I am changing all of the fluids as maintenance and wondered if I should use something different than the standard Dex II or III? I do plan on adding Lucas Trans Fix. I am in South Florida so cold is a relative term. My average trio is about five miles so it rarely gets fully warm. Are some brands better when cold?
Thanks
