Question

Have just got hold of a mint '98 turbo.
What is the maximum Bhp that i could get out of the engine without having to have work done on the internals of the engine?
If i was to have work done on the internals what sort of power could i expect??

Your looking at 280ish bhp on the turbo before you have to replace it for a larger unit (for eficiency) and around 300ish for safety before you need to replace the internals but upto 320-330 with safe (less than 19psi) boost you should be ok with.
Would expect you to be spending decent ammounts of cash after 280bhp for serious power, your going to need uprated injectors, fuel pump, brakes, clutch etc.
