Default ATF Drain & Fill - Control Valve Bleeding

Hi!

I have a 2009 Impreza 4EAT.

I need to do an ATF drain-fill on the car, however, the service manual requires bleeding of the control valve after this procedure. This is done using a special electronic Subaru tool that only dealerships have.

I have read that even dealerships don't do this step and it is not necessary. Does anyone have an opinion on this? Will I be safe not bleeding it? What is the worst case that could happen?

Thanks for any information!
