Default Exedy pink or blue?

clutch is very high now and i don't think its ever been changed (78k miles)
going on holiday soon driving so id rather get it fixed before it breaks rather than half way through Germany.

car is currently standard at 221. looking to go to about 300 over the next couple years

im looking at exedy blue and pink clutches with anti judder plates and lighten flywheels

400 quid for the blue and 500 for the pink

is the pink worth the extra money in this case?

will it last any longer?

If you're not looking to go much above 300bhp the blue box will be ample

if i start going much over that ill probably start doing mods that mean the engine will be out anyway so it can be changed if i really want to
i don't envisage it though.
ill probably start another project by then lol

As above, but if you have to do the job anyway you might as well put a uprated one in as you never know,in the future you might want a few more ponies from your engine.SJ.

its tempting but im not made off money unfortunately. scooby clinic rates the clutch up to 350. and my gearbox cant take much more than that reliably can it?
once i get to this point my likely choice would be to get a 2nd engine and gearbox and rebuild it with full forged parts. id end up with a new clutch anyway

Yeah I would not really want to push a wrx 5 speed to much, but to be honest a 5 speed gearbox can be broken with 300 bhp or on the other hand can take 400+ Bhp it really depends on how it's driven as some people think there rally drivers.Having Simple mechanical sympathy with gearboxes can help them to last.SJ.

Good seeing you yesterday Josh.

The 300bhp package that you opted for is perfect for you requirements. You would need to change the turbo before worrying about going for an uprated clutch at which point gearbox reliability becomes an issue anyhow.

Will take some pics of the alloys shortly for you.
