Default does anyone on here know anyone who works for/knows JW Racing?

jesus i've not struggled to give money away so much since trying to sign up for RAC trackstar.

they've got a splitter i'm interested in buying but their pics are a bit pants so i thought i'd email them for some more. no probs said the email, 'we'll send some out.'

no they didn't.

i called them. 'we'll email some out.'

no they didn't.

called them today, spelt out my email address. 'we'll send some pics out'

no they haven't.

FFS, send some pics and unless it's been laid up by stevie wonder i'll buy it!!

so if anyone even remotely even knows jw racing, give them a nudge and get them to send me some pics as they're doing themselves out of a sale!!!

rant over

About 5 years ago I bought a lot of stuff from JW Racing as I sort of got to know Jamie who owned the outfit

They were then taken over by "Amber Performance something or other" and I stopped buying from them

How about trying the new owners

Shaun

i've tried contacting them through all the contacts i can find, couple of email adresses and phone numbers.
getting in touch with them doesn't seem the problem, getting them to do a simple request for something that's over £250 seems the problem!

shame really as it's just what i want, but oddly enough won't fork out that kind of money for something that can only be seen through crappy pictures.

i've bought from them before and had no problems, can't figure out why the hassle with this one?

Jamie is the proprietor of both JW Racing and Amber Performance.

well whoever runs the business is obviously doing really well for themselves. so much so they don't need my £250 for sending a few photos

I was after some coolant hoses quickly, JW had some on their ebay shop, with a huge delivery disclaimer saying if parts are out of stock then delivery could be x amount of weeks etc.

So I ask a question "Are they in stock ready to go, if so i'll buy it now etc", just got a reply to say refer to disclaimer in the advert.

Yes I did, so acted on it - so if you can't be arsed to check, I go elsewhere

sorry, meant to update on this.
after sending a rather stroppy email to them they came up with some pics. quality looked good so i went for it, turned up this morning (very speedy delivery!) and pleased to report it looks spot on it won't be fitted for a while so can't comment on fit, but should be ok.

this is the 3rd thing i've bought from the company and i would say that for things they've got in stock they ship it out very quickly.
does seem communication could be improved on though. when it takes someone to get the **** to prompt you into a sale there's a bit of a problem.

on the whole though it gets a

Hi Shaun, hope you're well!

I still pop in here from time to time, but I'm definitely not part of JW Racing anymore and haven't been for a few years now, although I did enjoy JW Racing and the Scoobynet community!

Long live bedroom motorsport!

Midlife......
I am glad Jamie sorted your out.

If I have a problem I don't hide behind a hidden agenda mate.... he owes ScoobyNet Ltd (I am a director of this company) money as he does other companies! Plain and simple!

Not being funny, but before suggesting I have an agenda, I suggest you check the facts first...... or maybe don't comment if you don't have them.

Regards,
Shaun

shaun

Perhaps "hidden agenda" was the wrong word to use, my apologies.

What I meant to say was that I've been on SN for quite a few years and I don't recall a lot of flack flying about JW racing like, for example, Pete Croney / the "old" Scoobysport.

Midlife,
Thanks for the apology.

Just to underline this is not JW Racing I am referring under any new ownership, it is that associated to Jamie previously.
