Even with the wastegate fully open, I'm convinced the turbo response is better than the VF35. On the old turbo, if I had my foot off the loud pedal and the boost gauge needle was showing vacum (right down the bottom on the gauge), it would always take a second or so to wake up and reach 0 on the gauge when I pressed the loud pedal again. With the new turbo, it happens a split second after touching the accelerator.
Where can I buy one of those clips that holds the actuator arm on to the wastegate flatter - an e-clip or circlip? The one of the turbo was misplaced during fitting.

I had it fitted yesterday at API. API left the wastegate flapper disconnected, until I get is mapped.

David / Mark,
Kalvin from my Subaru dealer saw my post and offered to post one out from a TD0X turbo, so I'll see if that fits - should be here on Thursday.
David, thank you for turning around my car in a timely manor, sorting out the PCV valve on my catch can and for keeping me supplied with tea all day. Your engineer did a tidy job and the engine looks cleaner than ever.
The Exedy clutch seems lighter than the OEM one, which was surprising.
Btw, I ordered a resonated section for the Hayward & Scott today. It's too loud as it is for day to day use - I'm sure the plod will have me on noise if I don't do something about it.
Cheers
