Default Dealers & Mail order Co's Beware -AGAIN

He's out there again!! trying to buy Subaru parts to be sent to a different address than the card holder. Names given are; Ali Hussain or Islam Nazir so far.

Apologies to any genuine folk of the same name.

Keep an eye out folks.

That is poor. I mail ordered some parts recently and the company said they were unable to verify my address and asked me to mail copies of my DL/passport across. They said it wasnt personal and that they had been recently hit for large credit card fraud. Felt rather offended at the time but if this type of thing is going on a lot i guess that explains it. These people make it bad for everyone.

thanks David, much appreciated

We get many attempts at cc fraud each and every month.

Maybe we should look at setting up a traders area to share information on potential fraudsters with each other? Webby?

We (along with some other well known Scoobynet traders) got hit 2 years back, by someone who was doing the rounds. Cost us over £2500. Had several meetings with Police and CID but case never got off the ground. Even worse, we had good reason to believe some of the parts were sold on Scoobynet

Have since invested time and money in developing / purchasing systems to try and lower the risk.
