Question DR Motorsport

Has anyone ever bought any ready painted body parts from DR Motorsport.

Im thinking of buying a mesh grill and sti splitter. I have heard a rumour that the paint finish is Sh**e and bubbles after a little while.

Yep I bought a P1 Splitter from them had it painted and shipped to Germany where it is still attached to my car after about 2 years still ok, a bit chipped at the front where my GF hit a car park ramp with it but other than that it seems fine to me.

If it's the one I'm thinking of I bought an STI5 rear spoiler, STI5 front lip and side skirts and they all came ready painted.

Had them on my old scoob for over 2 years and never had any problems.

Thanks mate!

It was fairly easy to fit .... the scoop itself is just a fibreglass mould but it comes with 2 aluminium strips and 6 nuts and bolts. The strips go inside the front and rear lips on the scoop and have to be marked and then drilled through in the position of the original holes in the bonnet. The strips basically act as mounts for the bolts so that theres no pressure on the fibreglass. Aligning and marking the holes is the tricky bit!

Once on, you wouldnt know its a fibreglass copy, the finish is excellent and at the £140 it cost me, incl. painting, I think its a bargain!!

Have a look at http://rb5oc.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=1235 for more details.

Cheers,

Norm.

Another recommendation here - I bought some bits for my old Scooby from him and would recommend David without reservation.

I bought a spoiler from DR motorsport

Had a bit of bad luck with it, but David was good enough to offer help in the face of adversity.

It was down to finishing quality control and packing for a long journey to Oxford, but he is aware of the problems, and his return policy is second to none.

Decent caring bloke to do business with, recommended.
