They cannot charge you for their mistake. If you can prove its their mistake, take this further

Unhappy

Going to call Trading Standards today to see best course of action to get my money back and stop this happening to anyone else.

Unfortuanately I think this is a classic example of the treatment many large companys give to customers. They may save now, but dont consider future consequences/damage.

I cant get on the website at the mo www.pipercrossshop.co.uk to check terms and conditions. Once I have and saved the catalogue page, im taking it further. I feel like ive been robbed for there descriptive incompetence.

Ive had many car parts returned/exchanged over the past 3 years, never had to pay once. Just shows you agents give better customer service than direct suppliers.

Ile keep all posted.

I assume you paid by credit card or a standard Visa type bankers card??

I had a similar problem and paid using my normal card which is a 'Visa' type. I wrote to Visa enclosing all emails and correspondance and got a refund within 3 days.

It is'nt just credit card companies that protect people that get shafted when making purchases.

Good Luck

If you did buy from the site Azyman has listed, then this small print may be what has caused the problems:

"This site is operated by The Performance Company. We are authorised Pipercross
distributors and the largest online retailer of the Pipercross range of air filter products.
For the official Pipercross website click here"

I would contact Pipercross direct if I was you.

From our T & C's
"Under the "EU Distance Selling" laws, you the consumer have a right to cancel the order, within 7 working days."

Note, it is 7 WORKING days.

It is the law! Assuming the goods are "as new" under this law, they cannot deduct 25%.

The comments made in this thread by the poster are factually incorrect and libellous. A letter has been sent to the customer explaining the situation. I am sorry that he felt the need to change a few important facts and post this on a forum. We have asked the customer to retract his comments as they are not an account of what actually happened!

We supply hundreds of induction kits each week and pride ourselves on customer service. Our sales staff have many years experience in selling Pipercross products so fully advise customers and go out of our way to ensure all customers are happy.
