Default EU Imports Spec

hi all,

new here today,,looks like a gr8 place

could anyone tell me if an EU import 05 WRX would have the cat1 alarm fitted and 3 year warranty?

The place i put a deposit on one (tradesales-slough) seem to think its a 2 year warranty and are not sure about the cat 1 alarm!

Is there anyway of telling (other than when it gets nicked by some scumbag)

Cheers for any help

Jay

For EU imports it's all down to what the dealer wants to put onto the car, so if he doesn't know about the alarm or warranty I'd have a word with a dealer who does know, e.g. Iain Litchfield at www.litimports.co.uk

No alarm or locking wheel nuts. Service schedule diff but all else the same. Try a search for imports.

As above, you will need to fit CAT1 alarm and locking nuts. Subaru UK fit these on 'official' uk cars when they come into the country.

Might be worth trying these:-

http://www.alliancecarimports.co.uk

SUBARU IMPREZA 2005 WRX 4 DOORS NEW UNREGISTERED, SAVING £4250 ON LIST PRICE, CHEAPEST OTR PRICE IN THE UK - 13 Mica Blue, 2 Silver, 1 Black, 3 Aqua + More cars on order PRICE £16,295
3 Years Subaru warranty, Price includes 1 years road tax, Unlike our competitors Alliance do not Pre register Cars

I bought an EU import 5 years ago - massive saving for the same car.

Cheers,

Ian.

Subaru UK used to fit the Sigma M30 to the classic shape, not sure if they still fit these on the later cars? I had one fitted to my EU import £275.

I'd be wary of any dealer not knowing these details about the car, these people will PDI it and prepare for handover. I think for a couple a hundred quid Id be looking at somewhere recommended by others on this site.

Def no Cat 1 alarm or locking wheel nuts, this is what Subaru UK do the the cars they import into UK, otherwise identical apart from service interval. Beware of scaremongery by dealers and as far a s resale value goes i have kept a clipping from auto express quote "Usually difference between a parallel import and a UK car is negligable and may be less than £500 especially if sourced from inside EU"
