Default Importers Which One ?

I'm after a MY05 WRX to replace my CTR and not prepared to pay Subaru top wack for one so hence I'm looking at imports (had two before and never had any problems)

Who is good at the moment price wise, Alliance (handy as local but no alarm as standard), Virgin, allbrandnew etc ?

Can anyone suggest any other good importers ?

Does anyone know whats happened to Bentleys of Sheffield?

thanks

Richard

Got mine from Motorpoint. No complaints. Believe they have a sale on just now with £500 or so off the Impreza as my mate has also just picked one up. You will need to add an alarm on with them though.

Alliance get my vote.... and all my future car purchases! They are the mutts nuts... (also you are first registered owner not 2nd like most other importers)

You will only get an alarm as standard if you buy via UK dealership... apparently it's the dealer that fits the alarm after delivery into the UK.

Stay clear of Virgin cars, I had problems with them 2 yrs ago and I think others have had problems aswell.

Just picked up a 05MY Good quick service no problems and cheap. Only problem was crap weather and accident on M1 meant slow journey home. Looking forward to knocking off the first 1000 miles. One question though do the imports have an alarm? The importer did not seem to know. It also does not have locking wheel nuts. Any advice on the alrm and what to look for would help.

Hi Rich, welcome back to the fold (potentially)

AFAIR Well Lane might still do imports but I haven't looked round for a while after getting mine - Keyring gave up a while back and the website has vaped mainly due to lower UK prices and a dodgy conversion rate. You could try direct to the old garages in Belgium and see if they'd be viable...

Have a search for Motorpoint threads and be prepared for a long read re registering cars with IM UK due to supplying countries being in or out if the EU etc

Andy
