Bras...
Not for the female of the species, but front end covers.
Has anyone any information or contact details that they could pass on to me, I'm after a LeBra or similar for my 2003 STI. As far as I am aware there are not any available in this country, though I may be wrong. Most seem to be available from the states. Has anyone had any experiance of shipping one over?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Chris.

I see some Scoobynet members have made gimp front ends, a rubber fettish craze started by Robroy; though they do look fetching & certainly protect the front end from stone chips

I think that is the guy I was talking to at last months Flat Four meet, though I didn't manage to get any contact details from him then. I remember him saying that he imported it from the US.
I want something that is not permanent like the Armourfend and will not ruin the look of the paintwork. To stop the stone chips etc on long journeys and motorway use.

When I was in Sydney there were loads of Subaru's with clear plastic bras (only Forresters though). Wonder if you can get the same thing for an Impreza. They looked just like the headlight protectors, but right across the front edge of the bonnet.

I remember seeing those type of protectors on Escort MK3/4 over here, quite a few years ago mind. At the time I had an RS Turbo, but could I find those bonnet protectors, like hell I could.
I have to say that I am surprised that this type of thing is not easily available in this country, seeing as we're supposed to be a nation of car nuts.
The Armourfend is a good idea, especially for those using their cars a lot. But I only use it at weekends and generally don't have a problem with chips and things, but would like to protect the car at certain times, which is why would prefer something removable. I have also seen on some cars that the edge line is quite visible and can't understand why it's not taken to the bumper edges, to clean off the look more.

See here: http://www.litimports.co.uk/paintshield/. Stuff works a treat, protects the paint but lets the paint fade at the same rate as the rest of the car.
The problem with bras is that if you leave it on a lot the paint underneath doesn't fade at the same rate as the rest of the car, so it ends up looking very different.
Cheers
