Right my engine has done the big end and im covered by a warranty has anybody had dealings with any warranty companies other than the subaru dealer , if so what was the out come and what did they look for in the car??




any help will be gratefully received

the warranty company will send out an "independent engineer", once the garage who is taking the car to bits has removed the engine for inspection. He will then inspect and make his report to the warranty company. He "will not" say anything whilst he is there,just in case he says the wrong thing and cops for a quick smack in the teeth [honest].

They will try to "opt out" of paying if at all possible, so be wary and make sure there is nothing on the vehicle that the insurance and warranty company dont know about. Or you are giving them the simplest and easiest "get out clause" for not authorising any repair.

be warned, I'm not joking at all on any of this.........
