Picked up the car today from SP's after a few mods being added.

Stupid me got the wrong bits for the new intercooler so they dismantled one of their MY03 Sti8 demonstrators for the parts to get me going…Top Service or what

Cheers lads (especially to Doug who had to bear the brunt, and to Ian Godney from Godspeed who phoned SP's on my behalf to sort out the new brakes)

Happy x-mas mate !! SP's fitted 335 mm front brakes from Godspeed (drop dead stuff), braided hoses, Quickshift, STi TMIC, Samco hoses, Droplinks, front strut brace (Cusco from JW Racing....quality), ..............and then Elvington is cancelled.

Never mind SP's fitting TD05, pump, injectors etc for Bob Rawle to map Jan 31st

Think I may be paying them a visit shortly, looking to part ex my MY02 WRX for an STI 8, or if any new spec. editions coming out could be tempted with one of those.

Sounds like they will be worth the trip from East Lancs from all the good reports - I did speak to them when I got the WRX as they had a good deal on a STI 7 at the time.

Lucky..

Speak to Ian Armstrong on 01228 525051 I gather Ian is planning to get 10 Solberg limited editions and has sold 5 so far.

Ask to test drive MY03 STi registration number X2 WRX

Question

If SP's are planning to get 10 Solberg's & has sold 5 already does that mean that they know the details of the spec of the Solberg car, release date, price, etc?

There are several topics on the go in General about the likely spec of the Solberg but no one seemed to know the exact final detail.

Den
This is what Ian has posted on a previous thread

"This Special Edition is certainly causing a bit interest.
The thread on the general section is upto 7 pages.

Yes I really have sold 5 now. All with £500 deposit paid.
And yes without the final spec and price being finalised.

What I do know is its a UK spec STi (265bhp) with DCCD diff, Black interior rather than Blue Alcantara and in Ice blue metallic, only 500 available.

The car will have 18" alloys, probably in Anthracite.
Prodrive springs. Prodrive are also working on a upgraded PPP to produce over 330 bhp plus other odds and sods to make it go/stop and handle better.

My best guess on price is £30-32k depending on what Prodrive add to the standard car. FQ330 is £32k and that is the car Prodrive have been given the task of not just beating by a small margin, but giving it a right good kicking.

Hope this has satisfied the non believers, and answered a few queries.

Cheers

Ian

Hope this helps...
