My MY96 GL wore the rear right of its last set of tyres very unevenly, the inside must have been 3mm more worn than the outside of the tyre. The other tyres were evenly worn on the whole. Have recently got some 2nd hand wheels and new tyres so would like to avoid it happening again, plus I'm sure there would be a handling gain to be had with the alignment set up properly. Presumably to sort the problem I need somewhere that can do 3D alignment, and my local tyre place say they can't do the camber.

Any ideas where I should go, and how much I'm looking at to get it set up properly? I'm near Rhyl in North Wales so Demon Tweeks isn't too far away if they'd do a good job. Or Threeways Subaru dealer is just down the road. Alternatively I go to Sheffield fairly regularly so anywhere around there is a possibility, or anywhere between North Wales and South Yorkshire in fact.

Hi Ben,you can ring RC Developments ( www.rcdevelopments.co.uk) at 01606786706.They are in Northwich,Cheshire.They are really performance mods specialists but may give you good price.Apart from Threeway Garages,you could ring GS Jones in Buckley(Ph.no. in Yellow pages).They used to be Subaru Dealers and still do Mechanical repairs etc on them.I am in Mold so,they are good bet for me.So,compare the prices first anyway.

You could also try saracens tyres in Cerrig y Drudion on the A5 by the EVO triangle, they have just had a new 4 wheel laser tracking/alignment thing installed and are quite reasonable too

Dewi - Went for a blat round the evo triangle the other day as it happens! I phoned Lobitos in Prestatyn originally, I think they said they had a 4 wheel laser alignment thing, but couldn't do camber. You sure Saracen can do 3D alignment?
