Guys, just a warning for you all..

I bought a couple of items from www.scooby-parts.com last week and never received them. I was charged on my bank statement and have since sent countless emails to Scooby-Parts info and sales asking for them to confirm despatch/respond etc.

They have not replied to any of them.

I have tried to call them (every day, for at least an hour each time) but they never answer the phone.

I have since reported them to Trading Standards and to BBC's Watchdog who are investigating them.

If you have had a simliar experience with them, let me know, but whatever you do,don't use them - they will rip you off.....

No doubt Stavros will be along soon, he had a similar experience I believe.

Shame you didn't browse the Dealer forum before buying, you might have spotted this.

Don't you get some sort of protection if using a credit card?

Think I do actually get some protection.....looking at that thread, looks like they set themselves up as a 'clone' to SCOOBYPARTS.com (less the hyphen)

Cheers anyway

Mainly Clothing. Lucky for me, I never ordered a new exhaust or anything that costs quite a bit - hope you were simliar.

Might be worth you sending details to the Trading Standards Officer based in L'Derry.

You're lucky.
I ordered various parts, including a new WRC front bumper.

I contacted Trading Standards a couple of times.
Very kind people.
They also contacted Scooby-Parts a couple of times or visited them.
Scooby-parts always promised to email or contact us/me, but no way they will. Never heard of them again....

That's a real shame. Did you get it back with Credit Protection?

I might just have to schedule a visit to them on day soon and see what they have to say

I was told 'verbally' that SCOOBYPARTs was a good place for stuff. What I didnt know was that there are 2 Scoobyparts.

scoobyparts (one word) and scooby-parts (hypenated).....I went for the wrong one

I have had an update from Trading Standards...they are being visited!!

Rm0rgan,

Is Trading Standards visiting Scooby-Parts?
I know they will, because Stavros and I asked for it a couple of times also.
Then Scooby-Parts are very gentle, promise a lot (about contacting and blablabla), but they aren't doing anything.

If you are going to pay them a visit, can you also ask for my parts?

I can't get my money back or cancel the transaction, because it hasn't been paid by Credit Card, but by bank transfer.

Regards,

Hans

Yes, they are going to pay them a visit...perhaps a few more disgruntled punters would like to contact Watchdog - the more complaints the better.

When I get there, i'll ask about your kit...although it's likely to be a while away, and I might foget my manners :-)
