Question

I have a hands free kit in my car, was there when i bought it. It has some sort of control box stashed under the carpet in passengers footwll, and a speaker mounted there as well. Microphone is clipped to the trim above the drivers door. There is a bracket that clips behind the centre console (alongside the heater) to hold the phone, and a cable with a Motorola connector that that emerges from the same place.
My question is can I convert the existing kit to work a T68, and does anyone have any idea who could do it and for how much. The Bracket has a mounting for some kind of motorola phone, so would presumably need changing, along with the cable and Motorola connector. Is that all there is to it or am i being naive.

TIA

It would need a kit specific to the T68, they may be able to make use of the bracket to mount the new cradle onto.

cheers for the reply, do you think i will have to effectively replace the whole thing then, what a waste!

Have to take a mooch somewhere local and find out whats what.

I still owe you a beer or two as I remember.

Yep, I would assume that most of it will have to be replaced!

Car Radio Alarms in Haydons Road, Sutton are very helpful and can get all the car kits etc..

Another option is to look on eBay etc for a second hand car kit.

Will have to get together at some point soon!

I wondered if the bluetooth Nokia kit would work with my T68??

At least this would give you some future proofing (if there is such a thing nowadays).

Could be worth a look.
