Erm, shop around and find out
Try Litchfield cars, Emperor imports, and there's some others in the scoobyshop that are worth giving a call.
The Euro/Pound exchange rate is, being blunt, crap and that will affect prices.
For 18 grand by the time you've added the cost of 3 years breakdown and an alarm on, you can do better at a UK dealer.

We are talking about full UK spec. parallel euro import here
identical
slower depreciation, over a reasonable period, say 2 years. After 3 years there will be negligible difference in price, as a percentage of purchase price depreciaition much slower.
not required, it's the same car
Yes you have to go to the country of origin for PPP. Only an issue if you want the PPP to maintain warranty (see next point) within 3 years.
not substantiated
less unattractive would be a more accurate phrase.

more expensive insurance
Not true - I never paid any more for a UK spec sourced from Europe.
and quicker depreciation
My car depreciated less percentage wise, and sold in 2 days on scoobynet.
petrol addatives
Not for UK spec cars from EU. Yes for JDM (japanese domestic market) cars
[b]ppp troubles[b]
Well, trouble is that you need to take it back to the supplying country...
warranty problems
Warranty is an issue, yes, but is an inconvenience more than anything else. Your warranty is still valid.

Yep, I bought my MY03 from a UK dealer...
