45K service for my car that's done 23k miles - is this a record?

To be fair the service cost £224, MOT £40, 3rd yr body service £167, plus plugs PFR7b's and fitting my spare pads (originals worn out, can you beleive after only 23k )made up the rest.

I've got tax on top of that and probably going to buy the extra warranty, so I'm looking at a grand in total. March is expensive

Own a car - pay, pay, pay.....

The body service is the same as the one year jobbie where they clean the underside and respray rust preventative stuff all over.

My car really didn't need doing but I can't be doing with the hassle come trade in time if I don't...

No Cambelt included on this service, that's at 60k so the service was cheaper than it could have been....

I had my 30K service with 8k on the clock. Last week I had my 37.5K with just under 13k on the clock so I think I will be under your 23k come september when the 45k service is due.

The previous owner worked abroad so the car only had 5K on it when I bought it.

Simon.

Cosmic, I don't like it any more than the next person but the car is in warranty and this will be extended, so I have to keep it serviced at Subaru.

I understood that these cars are relatively expensive to run when I bought it, I'm just having a whinge about how it can all add up.

It's bad enough come trade in time when all records are tip top let alone if something isn't....

Out of interest Floyd, how much is the extra warranty for a year?. Mines coming upto 3 years old next month and was considering taking the warranty, had the MOT done today and forgot to ask the dealer before I left.
