..get a huge THUMBS UP from me!

I've had to send two items back, but have received service support from them to a very high standard.

Spoke to Matt today, and was dealt with in a polite, courteous, and professional manner.... and my replacement RA replacement by courier tomorrow (without requiring mine sent back first - I get to swap it with the courier on the door!)

THANKS!

Thumbs up

With you on this one BuRR,

I couldn't update my RA via my laptop for reasons quite beyond me, so they sent me the seperate modem completely FOC delivered by courier the next day. They are trying to sort out why I may have these problems and if they cannot work it through then I can keep the modem. Brilliant brilliant service.

Looking forward to getting the add on laser thingy !!

Rach

have you got usb / other ports on computer taken up?

I've had all sorts of update probs with my RA - can't communicate with unit etc so I've ended up re-installing software, data & power cables, hair after I've pulled it out etc

I collared Blackspot at Autosport and they said one thing that stops it connecting is if other things grab the ports of the pc before the RA software loads... Try disconnecting usb etc things and see if it make a difference...

Also I found that shutting down the TSR in the system tray before connecting RA up, then opening prog from start menu / icon got a bit more success - it reads the connection situation on startup so unless you boot up with RA connected, possibly doesn't think it's there when you try to synchronise

if the tsr bit helps, Blackspot could do with updating their installation instructions AFAIR

just my 2p if it helps

Hi Apple,

We tried everything with Rach's laptop until we were down to 1 modem and one RA on it. The problem we found was that both the modem and the RA appeared to be hardwired to use the same com port and nothing we could do to it would convince it otherwise. The guys at Blackspot were equally baffled
