About to buy an imported MY03 WRX - who should I buy from?
#1
I've had a quote of 18k including alarm & tracker (inc. lifetime subs), but it only comes with a 1yr warranty - 700 quid to get 3
But they do have one coming in, in a week in the colour I want.
Do you think I could get it cheaper? (i think i should be able to get it with a 3 yr warranty for 18k)
Has anyone used alliedcarimports before?
Has anyone driven the MY03 and how does it compare to previous WRX's?
Can anyone recommend any other importers?
I quite like the idea of getting one from Virgin, but they've only got the MY02
cheers chaps

ALL!!!!! Euro!!!!!! imports by law must have 2 Years Manufacturers Warranty, as long as your car come s from a European Country this is LAW so ask the question, your car may be coming from somewherte like Cyprus!!! hope this helps

Yep, correct, Cyprus cars only get one year warranty as they are not yet part of European Community. But be aware of whet spec your cars comes in with as some orders fall short of the spec "suggested" at time of order. be careful guys, have heard many a sob story of wrong seats, no spoilers, no alarms, different wheels etc. Not only that, but dont forget, you will only get the remainder of the warranty accepted by contacting Subaru Uk either directly or by going to nearest dealer and getting them to send details to IMHO so they can get conformation from the supplying country to accept warranty. If you dont do this, then, sorry , your warranty is only papaer and wont cover you if anything goes wrong.
The dealer will ask for certain documentation to prove its legality, so be expected to provide a copy of "certificate of conformity" and also copy of "original purchase invoice", without such, you will not get your extended warranty cover..
been there, read the book and re wrote some of it..
Good Hunting ! but get all the facts first "and in writing" !!

I got my parrelel MY02 import from Litchfield Imports (advertise here on a banner somewhere)
Best price , paid what i was quoted, genuine enthusiasts who enjoy the business.
I'd use them again no probs. Iain Litchfield is the guy to speak to.
no link - just satisfied customer (rare thing these days)
