Just wondering, I have an MY00 so it needs the cambelt change at 60K and not 45K as usual.
Can anybody let me know what the servicing costs (main dealer) are
for a 45K (inc cambelt) and 60K on an MY99.
.. and for a 45K and 60K (inc cambelt) on an MY00.
I may choose to do the cambelt early if it spreads the cost a little
Any help appreciated.

I have an MY99 uk turbo, the dealer service which included the cam belt was 45,000 mile. I have been quoted £330 for the 60,000 mile which seems the going rate.

If any dealer is still changing the cam belts at 45k on anything over a 01my motor, then they are taking one for a definate "ride". The timing belts dont need a change till 60k, so the dealers are simply being greedy for the servicing costs. Put it this way, how many other manufacturers need belts at this low mileage now? Likewise, have heard of some dealers still insisting on 6mth services when should be onto the annual servicing scheme, and they haven't even bothered to update the service books in the cars so to cover their schemes.. So I'd sooner check first, then pay out, not the other way round..
