Anyone ever hear of - MTEC GmbH -

And if so, how reputable/reliable are they? I have a line on a motor from them, but before I blow my hard earned dollars, I want to know if they are the real deal. I am in the US so I can't visit them to check it out. I may even be barking up the wrong tree here because I really have no idea where they are located, but their name produces a LOT of hits for German web sites.
Thanks!

This is the company who produce officially tuned BMW's. I.E. M3 and M5 - Same sort of relationship as Ford and Cosworth
(Anyone who can get a reliable 340 BHP from a naturally aspirated 3.2l straigh six must have a fairly good idea what they are doing )

At the moment BMW Motorsport go by the name of 'M Gmbh' no 'tec'. Some of their products were described as m-tech for fitment to cars, these are now just m or motorsport products. 'M' is owned by BMW AG and produces the cars refered to by fast bloke, it is alpina and ac schnitzer that are the officialy liscenced tuners. 'M-TEC' seems to just be trading on the name. 'M' works for BMW alone (they are BMW after all) so be very carefull.
Is the motor for a BMW ??
Hope this helps
