Booked in for my Intermediate service next week. After speaking to the garage they said I would save a lot of dough if I bought my own oil, how much do they charge and what do they use. What engine, gearbox and rear diff oil ? am I gonna save much buying my own filters, plugs etc. ?

Seems strange thing to say.....some companies use all Silkolene products (others Mobil & so on). But if you shop around you'll probably get everything cheaper.

Yeah should have expanded a bit I asked them whether I could bring my own oil and bits etc and he said yes by all means a nd you will save money. My family is in the garage trade so I get everything trade prices to. Do they use Silkolene like most garages do ?
