Question

Might be a daft question but what's the difference between wheel nuts to go on speedlines and ones for standard wheels - aren't they the same?

Only asking as I've just ordered some speedlines...

Evidently can be a different shape ie conical. Don't know if standard scoob ones are any different but easier to specify just in case they are. Would'nt like to buy them and then find out they don't fit. Know that there is very little space between the nut and hole in the alloy of the speedline compared to the standard Scoob alloy as I've also had to change my locking nuts as the caps won't fit. They go on but you cant get the tool in to prise the cap out.
When I spoke to local Subaru dealer yesterday he said the ones I have should be chrome which they are definitely not so he thinks they have been replaced by diff ones. He's getting me a price today.
Confused - I am

I've given up with this now. Every dealer including subaru are p*ssing about - either can't get a price, chrome, stainless etc.
Just spent 4hrs in the garage filing, scraping and sanding wheelnuts. Finished off with Silver grey Hammered Hammerite. Look an absolute treat.
£5.49 for the tin and about 3/4 of it left.
