Hi folks,
Am seriously considering getting an STi V, the only thing that puts me off is finding a place to service it in the North East. I have heard that Subaru Dealers won't touch them with a barge pole and don't really want to take my pride and joy to a Halfords or a cloak and dagger back street type of establishment.

Anyone know of any reputable places that know the ins and outs of the car????

I can recommend David Philipson, at Hartburn Nr Morpeth. Contact number 01670 772360. Works from home ( a farm ) but by no means backstreet. Has been doing Subaru`s for almost as long as myself(18yrs). He takes great pride in his work.

You could try REVOLUTION in Gateshead if you dont mind going near Newcastle. The owner Glen knows just about everything on Scoobys and has just sold his STI 4 recently which is more or less the same car.Their number is 0191 4770785.Go for it and good luck.

Thanks lads....driven past Revolution a couple of times, do they service cars?? Don't think i'd be entirely happy taking a £14000 car to a farm yard to get serviced ( nothing personal or anything ) Looks like I'm looking at a PPP'd UK Turbo now.

Well put it this way, if Glen trusted him with his STI type R I would trust him aswell.Does he do UK cars aswell?

Yes Dave repairs and services all models of Subaru.Have you seen the 5 door that Glen has now?. This is a car that Dave has built, have a look and tell us what you think...
