Chopping a tune to make a ringtone?
I have asked this before, sorry.
I have a song I would like to use as a ringtone for my mobile, but just the chorus. It's in my itunes, but I can access it from somewhere else if that is a problem.
Can anyone do it for me please?
I have lost the email of the two useful members who did this for me at Christmas

Assuming it's an unprotected MP3, Audacity is a popular choice.
For me, I prefer MP3directcut.
Both easy to use.

Easy.
Just select the song in itunes, right click it, go to properties, select the start and stop times and edit them so it just plays the chorus, ok it, then choose convert to aac, and a new song with the same title will appear below it but it will be as long as the start and stop times you specified, play it and it should be just the chorus. Then just drag it to your desk top and do what you want with it (if its in iphone, just drop it in ringtones, if its an mp3 playing mobile, just convert it back to mp3 and use it that way!)
The process above is how remember it, it may be "slightly different" LOL, i dont have itunes infront if me right now, if your not sorted by the time i get home i will double check the method, but i have used it to create 29 sec long ringtone for my iphone, no 3rd party apps for me!
P.s rumour is that apple are putting a stop to this with the next itunes update, so best to create loads now, i have!
Just remembered, its right click, get info, options!

Sorry to bring this up, bit of a blast from the past
Chris, if you are around. My lappy crashed and I have a new hard drive. I have lost the "Feed the World" ringtone you did for me. Hope you remember, it was just the chorus.
Christmas is on its way and I need my song
