Default Astro Gaming Headsets

Anyone got any Astro headphones for gaming?

In the past I've owned turtle beach X41's which were meh and just this week I purchased some of the new Turtle Beach XO Four headphones for the Xbox One. I was so dissapointed! They were awful. I wasn't expecting much for £90 but still, a certain standard surely! The performance was rubbish. Muddy sounding, no clarity, just poor. Build quality was ok but they were so uncomfortable. Really clamped on my head too tight causing me to feel pressure on my temples and headaches too. I haven't even got a big head! Needless to say, they went back today after 5 days of owning them.

This leads me back on topic. Last night I ordered some Astro A50 headphones. These little beauties are meant to be the pinnacle of gaming headsets (along with a couple of others) and provide a very nice simulated 7.1 surround effect. They are meant to sound great too. Cannot wait to pick them up Friday along with Titanfall. I'm gonna have fun that day!

Anyone else got some A50s or even the equally impressive A40s?

I bought some A50's when the PS4 was released, as my turtle beach wouldn't work obviously.

They are very good, and I have no complaints to be honest, but I've not tried that many different types.

A friend uses the A50's and swears by them having gone through a few different sets, turtle beach are crap tbh and can't be compared.

I use Sharkoon if I can ever be arsed to turn the console!

Trittons are the way forward I say! I have tried turtle beach and never got on with them! Echoes, and just big and bulky! Trittons are not so big/heavy, sounds are awesome through it! They worth a think about or try!!

I considered Trittons but the A50 reviews were just too good!
