Talking Apple android phone

Even apple co-founder Steve concedes the company's main selling point has been form over function

So funny, Woz makes a flippant remark that Apple 'could' do something and the fandroids and media go wild.

Here's a news story you should be spending more time reading

And a scary graphic to go with it

Now that is a delightfully unbiased article

I wouldn't be surprised if the statistics for Apple devices weren't far off.

After one week 75% of iOS devices were using iOS7. It's a very different story.

I'd be quite interested to see some proof on that, cus it sounds a bit high for my liking. Given the probable number of non ios7 compatible devices still in use and those who simply didn't bother with the update.

What sort of proof would you like, I can google it for you, but I'm guessing since your'e posting here you could do that yourself.

Bugger it, here you go https://www.google.com/search?client...centage&rls=en

Its ironic that your link also shows that there is now a security flaw in iOS7!

I could have googled it myself but I wasn't the one with a point to prove.

Oh and by the by it was more like 2 months, not a week

I proved a point that you questioned. You can thank me later.

Still, shows the shocking state that Android is in and gives at leasts one good reason why Apple would never produce an Android phone.

Ignoring the fact the point you were supposedly proving turned out to be wrong... And when people ask for proof it's generally accepted you provide proof, not a google search that I then had to wade through all sorts of crap to find some useful info.

But that's ok, what ever helps you sleep at night.

I could try and reason with you on the latter comment but banging my head against the wall would probably be more worthwhile.

So you find an article that says 2 months, I find 10 that say a week, I guess you're right. And what did you expect me to do, go an ask all the iPhone users?

Yeah see the difference is I actually provided a link to an article, rather than just saying you've seen them.

Holy **** jack just click the link yourself. You pasted a google search of which the only link on that page which gives IOS7 uptake stats was the one I posted. The rest were advers/reviews and news on issues with IOS7.

By the by, that's a different search phrase. The one you linked earlier was 'iPhones on io7'

How bizarre, looking at the URL you posted there appears to be a second search phrase (iphones io7 percentage) but when you click on the link it drops it for the search phrase i'm seeing (iphones on io7).

Nope because the original point of contention was your statement that '75% of ios devices were using Ios 7 after one week'. Using the same search you did, that fact is still not true and is reflected in those search results. I've looked through far more pages than I'd care to admit and they all put the 75% adoption time at around 2-3 months.

Mind you assuming this graph is accurate they weren't far off. 57% adoption in the first week isn't bad.

I think what JC meant was that 75% of those who updated to iOS7 regretted doing so in one week.

Is this still going on?

Got to love an Apple vs Android thread.

Pointless, but funny.
