Default Ebay problem

Over the past week i've been having problems viewing ebay listings and after a live chat with ebay they say it's my computer/ browser at fault?
When i look at listings (50 per page) i can only see the first 11 photos, the rest are just white boxes (no crosses) with the listing thread at the side, this happens on every page.
Also when trying to narrow a search the options at the left aren't working - i can tick a box but nothing happens?

I'm using windows XP with IE8

any ideas?

Have you tried a different browser? Almost anything is better than IE8.

i've only ever used internet explorer and like the screens - is there another which looks the same (i was told chrome isn't very good)?
Can i download another and run it alongside IE8 - click on either from the desktop to open internet or can i only have 1 installed?

You can have as many browsers installed as you like. You can even open as many different browsers at the same time as your computer can handle.

I've only ever used Internet Explorer once on my Ultrabook - that was to download Chrome.

Either upgrade IE8 to IE11 which is an improvement, or use Chrome, far superior, and yes you can run alongside.

Don't bother with Firefox, good browser but a memory hog.
