Upgrade.
Looking to upgrade the PC for this winters gaming frenzy, the motherboard and SSD drive are both new but I'm unhappy with the speed of the SSD as it takes three time longer to boot than my old SSD drive, so that needs to go.
Is there anything worth salvaging from below, the memory, processor and GPU are two years old now.
Drive - Samsung SSD 840
MOBO - Gigabyte B75m-D3P
Processor - Intel I7-2600 CPU @ 3.40 GHZ
Memory - Patriot G2 X 8 MB
GPU - Nvidia 580GTX
Windows 7
Direct X 11

Been eyeing up the Geforce GTX 780 TI, would this fit into the current MOBO I have? think I would freshen up the memory as well TBH.

Yes - that mobo has a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, so provided the card physically fits in your case you should be fine.
You don't say what PSU you have, but if you're feeding a 580 GTX you'll probably be fine.
Stick windows 8 on and it'll boot plenty fast.
RAM wise it's debatable if more would actually give you any benefit.

Hi there
Personally I would keep the GPU,I would wait until will be out HD 9970,from reports will be "Titan" killer
In my case I'm now using 560 2GB,I've used previously HD5870 or HD5970 whihc I've preferred mostly, but sadly in GPU rendering ATi cards still are behind the Nvidia and mostly if you are using Otoy Octane Renderer,vRay then Nvidia is best for this job
If yours PC is mostly gaming PC then I would go with ATi,have owned HD5870 or 5970 and both those cards never struggled in any games, which I can't say about the 560 2GB
What PSU you are using ?

AFAIK the Geforce GTX 780 TI has already beat the Titan so the Titan is old news already, thats the thing with these type of things you can wait long enough for the biggest baddest thing to be released but it dosen't stay the biggest and baddest for long so I'm just as well buying what I'm going to buy now.
PSU I can't remember off of the top of my head (and I can't be ar$ed pulling the PC out to look) but I think it might be needing an upgrade as well as it's the oldest thing on my PC.
I'm an Nvidia man, I've only ever used Nvidia cards and have never had a single problem with any of them in all the years I've been using them.
