As title I use T'bird and I keep quite a lot of emails in various folders and archive them now and again. Odd thing is that 99% of my emails received in 2012 have simply disappeared from my folders? I need some of them for business purposes and don't know what has happened to them. Certainly nothing that I have done intentionally.

So any ideas/suggestions please. I have the usual security systems and run AVG. Windows 7 & Explorer.

Are you using IMAP? If so take a look at your web mail see if the mails are there.
