Nearly everybody who isn't an ifan thinks they cost too much

Slightly bizarre scoring though

From the top to the bottom of the range there's not a big pricing difference.

The laughable thing is the ipad may cost more but if you decide to sell it two years down the line you don't really loose that much as compared to a similar priced android tablet.

Very true Steve.

I keep imagining the outrage if this was the other way around.

I'm pretty sure Andyroid posted a link to this earlier in the week, must have deleted it as even he has an ounce of common sence.

So boring you keep posting on my threads, I'm surprised you bother as you clearly have no clue what we're discussing. Are you that bored you post on threads you find boring.

Which basically translates as their entire range are all frickin' ripoffs especially for those at the bottom of the range.

Those at the bottom of the range would be a Samsung, probably 20 or 30 models to choose from, we were comparing prices of the two ranges, Apple and Samsung. You're such a tit.

Looks great next to your user picture, I'd say you're no stranger to those gestures. Click the picture, you might find something original.

I was referring to the bottom spec iPad 2 that's over two and a half years old which costs £329 and the latest being £399.

I fail to see a problem. The iPad 2 is a very useful device even at over 2 years old, good resale as well. What model was the Samsung equivalent back then, and how's the support.

on a serious note, most people use a table to browse the internet and general tasks which all the tablets do.

so why spend £400 plus on one when a £150 will do the job you need just as well.

im sure some are more powerful than others but do you really need it to browse the net?

Exactly, most people don't have the ability to make full use of the simplest tablet!

Yes, which is why I suggest Jack lets them get on with it. He may have use for the more sophisticated tablet but many others do not have the need or the ability to make use of it.

Which is also why most people buy £200 netbooks and not £2000 gaming laptops as well.

Mind you some are dumb enough to spend £1000 on a macbook for just surfing.

My old mother is getting an iPad for Christmas from Santa. Why not buy her a Hudl or some similar cheap tablet. Because I want her to be able to work it, I want her to have the ability to do more than just surf the web, maybe she's the next big name in German Techno and we don't know it yet, I want her to use it for the next three years, then I want her to be able to use the next one as if nothing had changed. I want an easy life and I want to make hers better. Oh, and she's worth the extra few quid.

Not necessarily, the cheap ones can be worse. A lot of the cost in the ipad comes down to development, which can make life easier for the end user.

I never thought of using my TABLE for that as I usually use it for sitting at while eating my dinner
