I have just installed IE5.5 , upgrading from IE5. This has wiped all my (Hundreds of) favourites. Should this happen ??

Not seen that happen before myself. The installer usually puts the old annoying links to MSN, Hotmail, Radio Stations etc back in which I delete manually.

One of the things which a lot of folks forget to back up.

 

Do a global serach on your machine for *.url, see if they're anywhere on your HD.....
