Default Cheap phone

I don't know if anyone is interested but the Nexus 4 has dropped in price, probably due to a newer model being released. I have just bought one as a gift for someone so just incase you were looking for a good phone for not a lot of money.

Easily the best budget phone out there at the minute.

Stick a giffgaff sim in that and it's way better than a contract too.

My Nokia PAYG phone cost me £20 last year, new!
It's a phone that texts, end of features.
If I lose it, break it, soak it it doesn't matter. Go to Asda get another and go again...

Edited to add,
Only 4 numbers stored on it so no big deal in adding again to a new sim.
I do all of my necessary communication on my house phone.

That sounds almost as bad as me I give my number to no one, friends know not to ring me as it will be ignored, I can tolerate texts and generally change my number every six months once my number spreads a bit to much for my liking.

I don't mind being texted (is that a word?) it's just that I take about 10 minutes to compose a reply by which time I have received a message asking why I haven't replied to the first

They aren't phones any more they are mini computers.

I was forced to cart one of these around with me for my job years ago, I hated it, was a good status symbol though, that and my new company Beamer.

Nothing wrong with having been a yuppie, it's in the past, but easy to mock

Single is the way forward <---- I'm under this too at the moment

I remember those phone, I was working in London at the time when people were using them as I was tempted to get one myself for work. It used to be £4 a minute and although that may not seem to bad it also included dialing time and if someone picked up your call and then hung up it was £4

Reception on them was crap, you could hardly ever pick up a signal.
It was replaced by one of these..

Which was even worse !
