Is there any way of cancelling a Hotmail account immediately?

Why? It's free. If you don't logon for 30 days (IIRC), the account gets deleted.

Not for immediate effect, the way it works is... if you don't access it for 30 days or more it gets deleted automatically after the 30 day period....sorry.
