Dell dimension 8200
Firstly, yes I realise it needs throwing.
But I'd like to retrieve things off it
Turned power off to do something in the house and since then it won't reboot. Can get to f2 setup and it's saying I don't have a cd drive ( which I do) also a floppy drive, but still won't start windows xp. How do i get to bios screen
Anyone?

There are a couple of things you can do.
1) Change the BIOS battery, that can sort so many things on an old machine. Its a watch sized batter somewhere on your motherboard.
2) Just take the hard drive out and hook it up to another computer and read off the data directly. If you don't have the bits a local computer shop will do the job. The cost should be under £40, assuming you supply something for them to copy the information onto.
