itunes don't recognise ipod
Have something similar with both my Iphone and Ipad and even using Version 11.1 of Itunes on a Windows 7 x64 setup.
I have to resort to rebooting the PC and trying again.
Worth also looking at something called the Asus Ai Charger (Use Goolge to search for it). I have this installed, and although it helps with more power on the USB port to charge my Apple devices (Ipad needs it if charging through a PC) it may help.
Also check for the obvious such as changing the cable onto a different USB port.
I take it as soon as you plug in the IPod the Computer shows this up in the 'My Computer' or on the computer and OS of your choice first? This way you know the computer sees the device first before running Itunes.
