Cheers, I think a trackpad will make a huge difference, at least I hope so.

I've tried the rtm version and I think it's absolutely ****e!

Can you get a normal start menu! Instead of the crappy metro one?

MS have failed with this OS and will push users towards Linux and OSX IMO

I actually like it once you ditch Metro, very easy to use.

And Metro isn't so bad once you have used it for a while but do understand why many people don't like it.

I've been dog fooding on 8 for a month or so and find it very stable but resource hungry.

I'll wait for retail build but probably sticking with 7 for dev boxes for a little while.

Jack, trackpad defo supported, well on this build anyway. But it isn't a given for retail. Anyone remember when Logitech support for HID devices was dropped in retail builds for Vista? MS can be ***** sometimes

Installed pro on 3 as of now, use classic shell add on for kids as they are a bit puzzled as to what to do at the moment, but all learning it.

So far its good, a few issues with ati video drivers which some glitches here and there, im also a bit dissapointed that if i run a video on screen 2 and flick to warcraft on screen one, the video stutters alot, and my baby is a powerful core i7 12 gig ram and fat ati car. Think its most probably some multi tasking or video driver issue

I'm running it in a vm and hate it, absolutely sh!te. How they will ever sell that to business users I do not know. I'd rather use XP than that sh!te. Windows 7 won't be going anywhere for a long time that's for sure, the best OS i've used.

Anyone tried Windows Server 2012 yet? Just grabbing that although many of our servers are still w2k3 and not replaced them with w2k8 yet (although all new builds are w2k8 now) so this may be a little while before I get to use it at work.

Indeed i ditched nvidia when their drivers totally borked its own control panel. Nothing worked in my configuration. Almost as if they had forgotten about some of their own older cards. Went to ATi and not had a problem since.
